Alivia was born and raised in Timonium, MD. Expressing that she had really what you would consider an “easy” childhood, Alivia grew up playing Barbies with her older sister and the “neighborhood girls”. You should also include flashlight tag barefoot with “the boys” until her parents whistled for her to come inside at dinner time.
Alivia thrived in school, mostly because of a strict father, and she made it through middle and high only skipping class once or twice (can you believe that?!) Yes…she admits she was a scaredy cat.
Alivia traveled with her family as a young girl and had the privilege of traveling to beautiful places like Greece when she was 16. Alivia has possessed a love for traveling ever since.
Alivia got her first job at 15 at the local ice cream shop and stayed in the hospitality industry until she graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education in 2010. Alivia admits to barely using her degree (imagine that!) for the next year and a half.
In 2012, Alivia landed an executive assistant position and eventually a human resources (HR) position, which was her last full-time job of seven years before becoming a realtor.
It was at work, that HR job, that Alivia met her husband Dominic on Match.com. Being a true success story of this dating website, the two moved in together after four months of dating (even taking a trip to Disney together after only knowing each other for five months…talk about taking risks) and got engaged on their seven-month anniversary.
The rest is history…just kidding. Their journey is still unfolding. And excitingly so.
Alivia knew that their marriage was where the fun really began and where she thought life was really starting for her. In their eight years together, they have moved six times (together for four of those moves and all within the last four years). Alivia & Dominic welcomed a son, Oliver, in August 2017. In 2018, Alivia was laid off her full-time job in HR and her young family was forced to move back closer to family. This all-to-soon move was right after randomly building a home 1.5 hours away from the family she found herself needing. This was around the time that she was encouraged to get her real estate license. Alivia’s mom, Aphy Liebno, who has been in the real estate industry for 35 years was a great encouragement to her. She also attributes her confidence to step into the real estate field to her husband who knew she would excel since she had five years of online sales experience, exceeding expectations in that sales role.
It was this time, that Alivia realized life was really starting for her.
In May of 2019, Alivia obtained her real estate license after craving a more flexible lifestyle with more work/life balance. She knew she wanted to control her future and create a life for her son (and perhaps another child) that she envisions he deserves. Alivia and her husband then welcomed their second child, Fiona, in February of 2021. She now completes their family
Being in the service industry basically her whole life, Alivia craves more and more serving. She wants to feel the sense of accomplishment after helping families find their dream home. It is this intrinsic motivation that pushes her to keep going and to keep reaching new heights.

Joining Compass Home Group in 2021, Alivia aligns Compass Home Group’s “have fun, share love, and build community through real estate” mission to her heart. Craving to serve, she desires to be more involved herself and with her family, teaching and molding her little hearts into hearts of duty!
